I'm new at this

Well, as the title states, I am a fscking n00b at this type of thing. I have seen countless AMV's out there, some good, some...needing radioactive cleansing. I stumbled across this site on dogpile, thought and grinned and jumped in. All I really want is to learn how to make AMV's and if anyone is willing to help in that it'd be greatly appreciated.

Oh, if this post doesn't belong here, please, by all means move it to it's appropriate locale, thanks. ^_^

Well, shit, I did say that I was new at this, that and this forum is a little confusing, ah, well, it'll come with time... As for the comments, well, just you wait 'til I get my bearings-- then it's all fair game. BTW, how do I get an av?

Well, since you're commited to entering the Purgatory that is AMV making, I guess the least I can do is drag you-*ahem*-I mean 'help' you along.

You'd probably want to start off by checking out this thread in General AMV.

After that you'll want to read the guides on the site to get a better grasp on the ins and outs of editing.

And of course the forum is always a good resource of information that you can't find in the guides. Just put whatever question you may have in the appropriate section (there's Video Software Help, Video Hardware Help, General Video, General AMV, and Audio Help) and I'm more than certain you'll get responses. Just make sure to Search for answers to your questions first, as I'm sure a fair share of them have been asked before.

If you've got any other questions that aren't covered clearly in the above, just drop me an e-mail and I'll help where I can.

Okay, thanks. I'm posting a reply for two reasons, one of which has been accomplished, another is to test my av. I wanna make sure it works.

This should be an---experience to say the least. I'm looking forward to figuring all this out, and having fun doing so. >.<

Holy shit! Most newbies would have gotten pissed. I applaud you. If you need any help in the future as far as AMVs go, I will help anyway I can.
