Nice.

Linkin Park is after all has to be one of the most popular rock bands with it's unique style. Also, the situations match that of Linkin Park and make AMVing easier than most bands. There are not many bands out there that go with someone's feelings, experiences and character.
This is entirely subjective. It only becomes more obvious how subjective it is the broader a person's musical taste gets. Linkin Park is just commercially successful, there are droves of other bands that express the exact same emotions in their work in pretty much any style you can pick from - it's simply a matter of knowing who they are, and the only thing that determines that to most of the users on the main site is how many times they get played on MTV, Fuse, or any current radio station that specializes in playing that sort of Nü-metal or Alternative 'Hard'/Bland Rock.
That right there is the main reason it gets overused - the userbase simply doesn't have a lot of exposure to other artists, so they don't have the raw materials to say 'hey, maybe I shouldn't use this - it's already overdone' and pick from a large number of other bands which would be more original. Either that or they overcome their whiny teen angst phase (which I still feel the Seattle bands had mastered years before LP and their peers came around, and still maintain a higher quality with) and start diversifying their output.
That doesn't mean that the ones that use Linkin Park always have a narrow view of music, but I think that's a fairly accurate assessment of why there's so many crappy LP AMVs out there from editors that never visibly improve or diversify.
