Im not particurly fond of subs. But I want go right away and delete the vid. There are some good vids with subs but thats cause they might of accidently missed like one hard to spot sub. Even Taivas - Skies on Fire has a sub in it. But its very un-noticable. But lots of subs all over the place and making it looked like you put no effort into removing them, people will easily delete the video or not enjoy it.

yes, yes. Kev has already told us all about the sub in Taivas. Stuff like that, that can only be noticed by one anal retentive german doesn't really matter. We're talking about a vid with all subs..

Yes I've seen some AMV's with subtitles still on...

I find it ruins the representation, lowers the quality. I've never made an AMV before but I can think of ways to remove them off the top of my head, no idea why people keep them in the videos to be honest.

reasons I've been given to keep subs:

1. I like them
2. Other people told me that they want to read the subs so they know whats going on in the anime
3. I don't know how to remove them
4. I can't turn them off
5. The anime came that way
6. I don't want to cut that much of my video out
7. I know I could cut around them but I needed that scene.
8. I do this for fun, so I don't care what you think.
9. It improves my amv to leave them in.
10. It takes too much hard drive space to cut them out.
11. It's too hard to do it that way.
12. I don't have the DVDs
13. I can't rip my DVDs I can only watch them on my computer
14. Why rip my DVDs when I got the episodes already on my computer?
15. Doesn't everyone just make AMVs with the anime already on their computer?

yea I've heard just about every excuse...

what it comes down to is that they don't care about the presentation of their AMV or how it would look to the eyes of a more well rounded editor.

I would think that Subtitles is actually the biggest pet peeve on the org, just about everyone I know don't like to see subtitles in an AMV.

or my dog is holding the cat hostage and as omage to the fact I didn't find it appropriate to cut the subs out.

Not 100% sure what Letter it is, but it's obviously a leftover of a subb:

Boredom. It's a Nice waste of time to watch out for mistakes in a popular Video.
