As I write this,
My first project is near completion, and so my second project is On the path of brain-storming to being put in to playable formats. Now I simply need series to have a complete idea of what to combine to make the video absolutely beautiful.
The song is S&M -- No Leaf Clover. One of my friends told me a quick and violent NO Claiming that song is forbidden to be made in to an AMV. I guess he loves S&M too much (pun intended). But he did say whatever series I chose should be a very powerful and uplifting series, which shows war and destruction, and having a character on the backdrop promoting the main character's strengths, IE improving or deliberately training, or giving tips to the protagonist.
So My mind is clear on one title... *cough*Obviously*cough* But anyone else got a suggestion on another?

I once watched a No Leaf Clover amv set to Outlaw Star... It was a while back before I knew of the org but I thought it was pretty decent (it may still be floating around).
Considering what Pas said it may be possible to do with Gurren Lagann. I kinda picture you dealing with ever growing aspects of scale (as seen in this series) as the song progresses. Overlay effects when James starts "And it comes to be.." could also be quite interesting not matter what you choose.

I don't think Saikano is uplifting but it's indeed powerful and destructive . But if you want something less romantic there's Escaflowne... wait, no, that's romantic. Fate Stay Night is full of action, umh, Fullmetal Alchemist is about war too. Vandred is about war between the sex and aliens....in space!
Hope tha helps
