Pretty much, yeah.
Have fun with that, it sounds like a nightmare to me.
uh yea, you dgindex the vob then set up the avs filter to point to the d2v file open the avs in virtualdub mod and clip from there... to make it even easier, you choose to run them in job control instead of saving them right away, and then turn on job control and render your clips in a batch mode while you sleep
:O.. Omg, I feel like such a noob now. That will save so much time.. >_>.. This might help me actually make a vid since I hate going through and finding a clip then waiting.. and then finding another clip, then waiting.. >_<

Thanks for the help all, I’ve been using ‘eadfag beta’ and converting my dvd’s to lossless huffyuv encoded episodes/clips for editing.

It’s been working well but I’ve found that the lines are jagged when playing the encoded clips at any larger resolution then normal (ie full screen) I included a screen shot, it this normal for huffy clips? Do they smooth with a lossy codec when exporting your finished AMV?

The odd thing is that the video looks fine at normal resolution…

Here is my avs file:
LoadPlugin("...\plugins\Decomb.dll")
LoadPlugin("...\plugins\DGDecode.dll")
MPEG2Source("...\INTRO2.d2v", cpu=4)
deint = TDeint(mode=2, mtnmode=3, blim=100)
TFM(pp=0, cthresh=4, clip2=deint) #pp=0 while editing, change to pp=6 before exporting
TDecimate()
LanczosResize(720,360)
AddBorders(0,60,0,60)
DeRainbow(10)
ConvertToRGB24()

dust: the "jaggedness" is there on the normal version too, but your vision smooths it because it's so small.

About the jaggedness... It goes away when I select 200% size (well more than full screen), it is also not apparent when using Windows Media Player.

Odd how this only occurs in Media Player Classic, huh?

Is there an 'edit' button I'm not seeing for editing your posts on this forum?

Are the lines on the source just bad interlacing removal. or is it some sort of video effect?
