Layering is required for alot of masking and effects and stuff, When I edit I use layers sometimes when not needed just to keep kinda organizedpharaoh wrote:just a silly question and i don't care if you called me a newbie or whatever
but why the multiple layers when you can make most of them using four
or five or even six if there something useful about it would you mind if i know

Even when I'm doing some simple crossfades, or something like that, I'll find myself using 2+ layers without even thinking about it.
