"I was wrong. This changes everything" Need an ani

Post by Kanti13 » Thu Oct 30, 2008 11:01 am

I really want to make an amv to this song. The lyrics I'm most concerned with are
thought I was high
thought I was free
thought I was there
divine destiny.

I was wrong.
this changes everything
So I'm looking for an anime where the main character or one of the main characters is kind of arrogant or thinks they know a lot but then something happens that makes them realize that the were wrong about something really important. Maybe about how they thought of the world or life... I need a character that realizes they were wrong and is changed by that realization, maybe humbled. It may change the way the act or how they look at the world, something significant like that.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

The song is Flood by Tool and these are all the lyrics:
all I knew all I believed
crumbling images
no longer comfort me.
scramble to reach higher ground,
some order and sanity,
or something to comfort me.

so I take what is mine, and hold what is mine
suffocate what is mine, and bury what's mine.
soon the water will come
and claim what is mine.
I must leave it behind,
and climb to a new place now.

this ground is not the rock I thought it to be.

thought I was high
thought I was free
thought I was there
divine destiny.

I was wrong.
this changes everything

Running away..Now We're runin
so I take what is mine, and hold what is mine
suffocate what is mine, and bury what's mine.
soon the water will come
and claim what is mine.
I must leave it behind,
and climb to a new place now.

the water is rising up on me
said the water rushes over me
thought the sun would come deliver me,
but the truth has come to punish me instead.

ground breaks down right under me.
cleanse and purge me
in the water

Muahahaha. Like you'll ever go with this obscure idea.
Spoiler :
Ken Ichijoji from Digimon 02. He started off as a megalomaniac super villain, but then he realized all at once that he was wrong and transformed into the opposite--very meek and kind. And the lines about water match the Dark Ocean world, which connects back to how he turned evil in the first place.
Luv this character.

Well I just watched Origin: Spirits of the Past last night, and that seems to describe Toola pretty well. [/spoiler]

I'm planning on watching the anime before making the video, and i'm not really interested in watching digimon XD
But thank you for the suggestion!

Thanks for the suggestions everybody. I haven't seen any of these animes so I'll have to check them out.
I also just read the plot summary for Ergo Proxy and it seemed like it might fit.. Can anyone who has seen it tell me if they agree?

A character that comes to mind for me is Saji from Ikkitousen.
