Hi, im new, my amv rejected youtube.

Hi, all. I am a member from youtube and i recently uploaded a fist of the north star amv to youtube. The amv had worlds on fire track, one of the new prodigy songs.Anyhow it got removed.

Just was wonderin how it all workds here. I see that there are many people creating amvs and was wondering where you submit them to etc.

I have a few amvs on my youtube acount drdoombrain i mostly do manga mixed with electronic dance/drum and bass music.

Process in a nutshell:
-Enter video information
-Upload video

an old, but still somewhat useful, guide is here

I use Filezilla to upload videos here.
I know I did a really in-depth thing about using filezilla somewhere...but can't find it.
I did find one of my other posts though...

step 1: get filezilla
step 2: install it, and open the program
step 3: put kero.animemusicvideos.org as the host
step 4: put your username and password in their respective places (I wouldn't recommend using copy/paste for this...as it tends to not work)
step 5: click quick connect
step 6: navigate to your amv in the local site window/area, then click and drag to the remote site window
step 7: grab a coke, or other drink of your choice...but if you want it to work you'll get a coke. Drink said coke while it uploads.
step 8: close filezilla, and go back to your member's main page
step 9: where it once said "upload video" the button should now say "confirm video." Go through this process

I assume that you already made the catalog entry for the video, but if you didn't there is a guide for that

if you have a personal firewall, you may want to turn it to a low/file sharing or off setting for the upload (or you may not be able to get filezilla to connect to kero)

the typing stuff is to make it easier to search the archive... the ftp stuff is because they haven't coded it any other way (yet?) plus it's not that hard once you get used to it.

The main purpose of the website when it was created, well before youtube existed, was be a catalog of amvs. Since then we added hosting.

I use FireFTP (Fx add-on) and for me the process is as follows:

step 1: get FireFTP
step 2: install it into your Firefox
step 3-5: Go into "upload a video", request new upload, right-click the address and select "Open with FireFTP in the new tab"
step 6: navigate to your amv in the local site window/area, then click the green arrow to transfer the file
step 7: grab a glass of white wine, or other drink of your choice...but if you want it to work you'll get white wine. Drink said wine while it uploads.
step 8: close the tab, and go back to your member's main page
step 9: where it once said "upload video" the button should now say "confirm video." Go through this process

You know it might not be that easy to implement an upload system like the tube has. The admins of this site do all theire work for free in theire freetime. There is more important stuff to care about.

Effort isn´t bad. You won´t make anything good without some effort. Doesn´t you video deserve some effort too? I mean it´s not a lot of work to upload it on this site... it just takes a bit of your time to get used to the ftp stuff.
