How do I remove my own videos?
First of all, yes, I really am that stupid. I haven't been to AMV's.org in years and looking at my account, I'm rather embarassed by several vids I made years ago and I'd feel better if some one could please tell me what I need to do in order to remove certain vids. Please let me know!

You can't. This site is made to catalog every video ever made. Removing some would be counter-intuitive.

Re: How do I remove my own videos?
Dont worry about. Everyone makes bad AMVs when they first start. We all have them in our profiles. I'm glad that the Org doesnt give people the option of removing your own videos because if people could, you would see videos being removed all the time because the creator has made something better. I realized how annoying removing videos was when I followed some AMV makers on YT. There would be a video that I liked, two months later, it would be gone because the creator didnt consider it good anymore and didn't think about how other people may still be able to enjoy it. Also, instead of seeing it as embarrassing, take pride in those videos as they represent your start in AMVs and will show just how far you have progressed.

Moral of the story? Don't upload your AMVs to local.

Contact the copyright holder of the anime and/or music in your video and get them to issue a DMCA takedown.I'm rather embarassed by several vids I made years ago and I'd feel better if some one could please tell me what I need to do in order to remove certain vids
It'll take down your videos -- and others -- but it does work. Worked for Wind-Up Records, anyway.
The catalog entry will still be around, though.
You can also submit a deletion request, but the DMCA route will probably be faster.

The cynic in me has wanted to say that to the last 5 or so threads like this i've seen, but I always feared i'd be banned for it.trythil wrote:Contact the copyright holder of the anime and/or music in your video and get them to issue a DMCA takedown.I'm rather embarassed by several vids I made years ago and I'd feel better if some one could please tell me what I need to do in order to remove certain vids

Re: How do I remove my own videos?
Beuty is in the eye of the beholder. I've seen first videos that I actually prefer to the creator's current works. I've even talked with the creators and they usually end up HATING their earlier work for some reason. Go figure.
Of coarse there is the COUNTERSTRIKE theory (bet you never thought this stupid brain fart would be relevant to anything??) where you WILL be terrorized by immature thrill seakers till the end of time cuz the org won't take them down. meh- cie la vi! (or however you spell that). Most mature critics know that when a video is old it should be given a degree of relativity. Best answer is for you to show some thick skin.
