I'm music-driven. There's one song in particular that rarely fails to inspire or shame me back to the project at hand. Mission by Rush.
Also, daydreaming time helps. My best editing happens on lunch break at work. Yay manual labor.

And back on topic, I'll second the stuff about eating right and getting moving. Just started doing 3 miles a day as well as cutting back on the bullshit I eat. Breakfast is usually some form of fruit and juice. Lunch and dinner are reasonable and NOT fast food, and already it's amazing how much better I feel. Hasn't really helped with editing yet, however, since I'm neck-deep in SQL Server stuff and don't have time for editing. However, my concentration is up, which is a plus. =)

-Drink lots of water. Most people go through the day under-hydrated. Not having enough can make you tired as hell at the end of the day, and also give you headaches.
-Take a walk. Even if you're tired, walk a mile or two, you'll feel a lot better. Better yet, run a couple of miles. It gets the metabolism and endorphins up, the blood flowing. Some of my best ideas come to me when I'm running.

No washing behind your ears doesn't do anything. I'd ignore that part.
