Ushicon 2011 AMV Retrospective Idea
So, this isn't really a contest, so I'm posting it in General AMV. My apologies if it's the wrong forum.
My name is Chase Hoffman, and I'm the video head of Ushicon 2011. We're an 18+ con run by old, slightly bitter, otaku, so we're not doing traditional video room activities. We're showing an equal amount of older and newer anime, and one of our rooms is entirely dedicated to theme blocks - Gundammerung (the first episode of each Gundam series, shown back to back), a Satoshi Kon retrospective, the evolution of Yoko Kanno's music through the series she's done, etc.
So rather than an AMV contest, we thought we might do a retrospective on the evolution of the AMV. And what better place than the Org to come to ask for suggestions as to what should be included?
We go live February 4, so I'll probably stop taking suggestions at the end of this month to give me enough time to download everything.
Your help is welcomed.

Wait, wut.
Explain. Who is running it now, and why wasn't I informed? >_> Former staff head here...

Ushicon has returned? Is it still in Austin? I would be interested in seeing this...

You could take the winners of the various VCA years
It's not the best, but it's a pretty good selection of what techniques were popular or revolutionary every year.

I emailed Greg. Looks like I'm doing some panels for the convention.
