Lyric sync usually supersedes everything for me, as such my beat sync tends to suffer at times. It's fine to capture the mood of the song and everything but you're still hearing the lyrics throughout and it can be off putting to have a scene be SO outta place with the lyrics.

This.

Either the song is in another language or it's an instrumental. Even if it's in another language, I'll still look up the lyrics so that it still makes a modicum of sense lyrically but the flow, mood, story, and feel of the video takes precedence over bending myself over backwards to force lyrical sync into the video. That just makes things jarring and awkward.
