Hello everyone! I'm really kinda new to this amv stuff, and for the past few months I've been getting all my stuff together, you know collecting anime, music and getting sony vegas etc. Well, now I'm ready to start making an amv and. . . can't think of a single idea. It's funny that I used to have tons of ideas for amvs, but now am dry. SOOO, anyways, I would like some suggestions on where to start! Anything really would be helpful, just throw some songs and anime you'd think would mesh together well. Or some that wouldn't. Idk. . . Thanks in advance!

Since I have no idea what genre you edit to, I'll just give one for each I guess.

It's Time by Imagine Dragons to practically any SoL anime. You can be boring and just use a random anime, or you could be awesome and think of a cool concept and maybe even make it multi-anime. Something I could think off the top of my head would be the theme of growing up.

The Bird and the Worm by the Used with something like KnK (that would be boring though cause everyone uses that anime with these kinds of songs). If you want to be fun try something like Darker than Black, Wolf's Rain, Shiki, or even Samurai X.

If you're not into that type of screamo-ish genre of music then try something by The Black Keys (ex. Lonely Boy or Mind Eraser).

Skyfall by Adele with something apocalyptic in the same scale of Evangelion or even Princess Mononoke or Macross Frontier. Not Tokyo Magnitude though. If you want to do a multi-anime thing it could work.

For romance, I'll start with upbeat stuff. I Believe in a Thing Called Love by the Darkness with fun stuff like Golden Boy or even one of those generic harems can work.

She's So Mean by Matchbox Twenty with any tsundere female lead (ie. Toradora, Bakemonogatari, etc)

Now for the slow stuff with feels: Beside You by Marianas Trench with any serious romance anime. This song is in a good amount of AMVs, but Jesus Christ it's still one of the best love songs I've ever heard.

You can try out some stuff by Jason Walker too (ex. Everybody Lies, Echo).

If you are wanting something a little romantic with great action and a perfect song. Try:

Cardcaptor Sakura with the ending theme song from Uta no Prince-sama called "Maji Love 2000%" .

Cardcaptor is one of my favorite animes to watch. Plus, this ending theme song is one of my favoirtes to listen to.
