Oh! It's pretty easy! Check this out...
Upper right box with the "..." in it, click on that. Locate your .mp3 file and select "Open".
Lower right box with the "..." in it, click on that. Find a spot that you want to save your new "wav" file into and name it, then click on "Save".
When both of the long boxes have filepaths in them, click on Convert.
A DOS box will pop up and it will start spitting out numbers and stuff, when it is done, it will pop up a little dialog box in the middle of the screen, just click on "Finished" or whatever it says in the button. You're done. It's that easy.

it dosent MATTER how it works, it just does. Its magic
guys, if you read the guide then this will look familiar. Since we're doing the project in 24fps and ashton didnt want it to be soo complicated that people had to do the above I just wrote a simple GUI for besweet's 23.976 -> 24fps conversion and mp3 -> wav conversion. All the thing does is take the mp3 convert it from 23.976 to 24 and convert it to wav. The reason you have to use it is because the audio has to be sped up 23.976 - 24. Its just a quick and easy besweet gui replacement intended for use in this project only. Dont tell dspguru I packaged besweet with it or he'll yell at me >.>

I can't really promise a delivery date: schoolwork comes first. I guess it's a good thing you don't really have a specific date in mind
What format do you want the final product in? I usually export in some YUV derivative in a QuickTime file for further processing. I'm assuming, however, that you guys (understandably) do not want to deal with multi-gigabyte non-AVI files.
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but I've never done a group project before, nor am I using the same editing platform as others in this project...
How do you plan to IVTC then?
I'll also be working in Linux, if I can get good results with Cinelerra's IVTC filter, or if you can port Telecide before I start working on this video (Remember, my NES Project video comes first...I may work on this and that video simultaniously, since I'm using the same exact sources)

Tom and Nicholas - you have been noted, you have dibs.
Sorry about that all, I havent posted in the last 3 days because my host family lent to computer to a friend. Ok, about IVTC, you cant really effectively export from 30 frame source to 24 output anyway, so I think thats going to be something that YOU are taking care of. At least, thats what I think. Anywho, how many of you have already started?

I just moved yesterday, so now I'm in a house with no connection for my computer...I can't start until I get a cable modem for the house (soon!), and a new DVD drive for my comp (also soon!). But then I'm ready to rock.
