Re: AMV Rant pt. 2
I can't say that my friends get my hobby, but they know that if it's something I put time into it has to be harder than it looks.

Just don't invole your friends in this hobby, if they don't like it. I don't see a problem here.

Duh even parents make jokes of it and mad for doing anything other than college. Friends who loves watching animes but won't bother with amv. But who cares. They are who they are. Take it or leave it. Or throw them some punches (no) why so serious. You're highschooler asshole is a common

Re: AMV Rant pt. 2
i don't really have the same problem. over here it's more like most people ignore it. but my brother who also loves anime always says that because of those annoying amvs he can't find scenes, episodes, full fights e.t.c. of animes when looking for them in youtube
i think not involving them is the best thing to do. you shouldn't mind it that much.

I'm gonna be blunt here. Your friends are fucking assholes and you should just drop them right now.
A true friend doesn't have to be interested in the same things you are, but they have to be understanding of what it means to you. Your favorite hobbies are a part of who you are, and if your friends can't except that and are willing to ridicule you for it, then they are not really your friends.
My closest friends don't necessarily understand why I can willingly disappear for weeks on end to work on a video, but they know it's important to me and they support it and encourage me to keep doing what I love. This is what real friends are meant to do.
