Post Your Rig 2015/2016/2017, It's Been Long Enough
Given the interest in historical archiving of the AMV community over time, I'm putting together a more organised group of Post Your Rig/AMV Cribs threads. Obviously, in many of the threads, there are often lots of broken image links. However, it's worth it for those that still work if you're willing to put in the time to go through the effort of clicking through the threads. There's some fine history here, especially for those of you who are recent and younger editors.
Previous Threads:

AMV Cribs 2K3 (Revisited)
AMV Cribs 2K5
Workstation: Tidy or Messy (2006)
AMV Cribs 2K6 (Summer Edition)
Rigs 2007-2014
Doesn't look much different from the set up the last time I posted, probably, but it's a newer MacBook with a much more powerful processor and better GPU. It is far from the newest, but the newest lacked firewire and an optical drive. Kinda necessary if you want to rip DVDs for older series. It was also very cheap, even with AppleCare, since Apple was trying to get rid of them.
It currently has a 64GB SSD in it, but I may move that up to 128 or 256. Storage is aided by a 1TB Apple AirPort Time Capsule, which can be run both over Wi-Fi or ethernet, and ethernet makes it blazing fast for editing. Wi-Fi, uh, not so much. It also can daisy chain, so I have my 1TB of ripped Anime in the black enclosure. Rounded out by the Apple bluetooth keyboard (remapped to Japanese), and a Magic Mouse. Mobile technology includes the iPhone 5C I will soon be giving away for a birthday present (Jailbroken, soon to be unlocked), my iPhone 6S running KODI (formerly XBMC) for AMV goodness on the go. Media in the car is handled by a dash-attached iPhone 4.
Mactastic since 2008, and still rolling that way now.

This has been my rig for awhile now. Basically my computer has the following specs.
Intel i7 4770k
Nvidia GTX 770
One 64GB SSD + Two 2TB Drives
16GB Ram
Computer is hooked up to a 25" LG Ultrawide IPS and a 60" Vizio HDTV. I edit with Sony Vegas sometimes but mostly just for gaming.

Re: Post Your Rig 2015, It's Been Long Enough
Spoiler :
CPU: Core i7-5820K (6 core Haswell-E) @3.3GHz
RAM: 32GB DDR4-2666
GPU: eVGA GTX970 4GB SSC
Mobo: MSI X99A SLI KRAIT EDITION (10x SATA3 ports, USB 3.1, M.2 port, quad-SLI, 128GB max RAM)
Case: Corsair Carbide Series 400R
Storage: 1TB Samsung Evo SSD and ~6TB of HDDs (plus 6TB on the file server in the cabinet to the right)
Monitors are 2x 27" WQHD (1440p) no-name Korean eBay monitors and a 22" (1080p) Samsung thing I've had for quite a while. I'm sorta playing around with what I want to do with monitors after I get the DisplayPort adapters for the big guys - the card I bought has 5 ports and I'm keen to use as many as I can.
I really like this case - it has some amazing cable management capabilities. I went with a Cooler Master Nepton 240M with 4 120mm fans for double push-pull cooling - haven't installed some of them yet. I wanted to build with room for growth... I'm thinking 20TB or so of NAS hard drives and a real gaming mouse so this damn wireless PoS can finally die.

An ASUS X200CA laptop. That's it. The end.
Well, I do have optical mouse and headphones and a shockproof external hard disk but that's the lot.
So spec is:
Intel Atom ('Celeron mobile') n2840 - 2 core, no hyperthreading. 2.16GHz burst to 2.5GHz.
2GB RAM
500GB 5400RPM HD (No SSD.)
Integrated Intel 4000 series video access RAM space and clocked at 400MHz.
11.6" inbuilt display at 1366 * 768. No external monitor.
Software: Kdenlive 0.9.0 running under Mint Linux 17.0 KDE 32 bit edition. All free.
I won't explain why - suffice to say that it is justified. Now, take a wander to my Youtube page to see what this little machine and Linux can do…

Post Your Rig 2015/2016/2017, It's Been Too Long
New Tokyo apartment with a view of Ueno, I need new speakers and headphones and I'm looking into actually going bigger on my monitor, but probably not any time soon. Here yah go:
Got 2TB between the Apple Time Capsule and the Western Digital, the internal SSD only has 64GBs, sadly. And yes, that is a car seat, because I put racing seats in my car.
