Comparing LetsPlay with AMVs

How do #LetsPlay videos compare to AMVS? Some are anime games, some add their own background music, all the good ones involve editing. Should #LetsPlay be a new genre of AMV? For example some of the games on this page involve anime like characters, even though they aren't anime games. http://www.s0ng3ck0.moe/
