As the tittle suggests, I'm pretty new to the site here. I've posted two times earlier on, and it's quite some time ago. But life stuff forced me to distance me from most off my electronics for quite a bit.
Anyone mind offering me a quick list off "Do's" and "don'ts" on the site? I'm currently reading through the rules off the site FAQ, but learning what's common courtesy on the site is always a nice thing. God know's I've encountered situations that would've been much more pleasant by just asking about the common stuff.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Pretty new here, any help?
Yain,
Welcome to the Org! There are the rules and the FAQs, and you should read through all of the announcements and the forum stickies. Please feel free to ask any specific questions, and we'll be happy to help. Normally, in days gone by, introductions would have been relegated to General Discussion, but we're a bit slow these days, and there's not much burden to talking in General AMV, so please feel free, as long as you can tangently keep it on the topic of animoo muzak vidyas!
There are also a lot of memes, references, allusions, in-jokes, and history. Some cannot be easily explained and just need to be learned by participation. So don't be surprised if you see a lot of context that doesn't make much sense to you.

Oh, I even managed to post this in the wrong section... My bad. Oh well.
Still, from what you said, it seems pretty good, I guess. Gonna have to read a bit, if nothing else I'll just ask. Thanks

Not really, no big deal. General AMV tends to be everyone's first stop because it's right on top. It was a problem when the forums were really busy and we got a lot of these kinds of posts in a very short period of time. But now, I think we're just happy when someone decides to visit. Over the years we've done a pretty decent job writing down almost all of the important stuff, so reading is a good idea.Yain wrote:Oh, I even managed to post this in the wrong section... My bad.
