I really love all of these, especially yours Kio! I'll try to post mine at some point when I have the energy to take a picture of it, but it's very boring compared to y'all. xD

Very nice. Sorry I missed fixing this earlier. You could swap out the tray and go Octocore or 12-Core even. You'll have to stick with HS for the GTX 1070. Otherwise, you'd need to go AMD in Mojave, or a GTX 680, which I just got my hands on too. And I'm going to EFI flash for Mac boot screen.tko03isaneditor wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 11:11 pm

Yes! I can flash the gtx 1070 with another windows setup, but I'm slightly lazy and don't usually need to do any deep coding in my mac.
If i really need to i just put the old one back in, and yes! I'm upgrading my CPU to a newer 12-core that won't bottleneck my 1070 anymore.
As for Mojave.... since apple discontinued all 32bit apps in their newest OS. Most older AMV encoders and some of my apps wouldn't work. Looks like i'm sticking with High Sierra forever lol
Best wishes on your setup (may the gods be with you)

Re: Post Your Rig/AMV Cribs 2k18 (Editing Setup Thread)
Been Using A Microsoft Surface Book Generation 1 For A Year Now. My Only Computer For The Year. No Desktop.
The Laptop Has Been Used Heavily, The Screen Is Popping Off From Heat (Glue). Still Works Though. I Will Continue to use it.
I Had A Desktop (i7 4770k/GTX 660/16GB) For 3/4 Years Before But Had To Sell It For /Reasons/.
Anyways New Rig. Specs.
LG 27uk850-w 4k Monitor
Intel Optane 32gb
Gigabyte z390 Aorus Elite Motherboard
Corsair CX650 Power Supply
Zotac Nvidia RTX 2060 6GB
Gskill 32GB Ram
NZXT H500i Case
2x WD 6TB Hard Drive
i9 9900k Intel Processor
NZXT Kraken M22 Liquid Cooler
Wireless Logitech Mouse And Keyboard (Had Previously)
Also Bought A Herman Miller Embody Chair....(Not Pictured)
Just Put Everything Together So Haven't Fully Tested It.
Total Cost Of Build; My Kidney

Mac Pro Updates:
RAM 16GB -> 28GB
2 x 250GB Samsung Evo 850 RAID 0 Boot Drives moved to Mojave 10.14.5
GTX G60/950 -> GTX 680 (borked) -> GTX 770 (native drivers, compatible with Mojave and likely Catalina)
I don't game, but if I did, I ran Stage 9's Unity engine Star Trek Enterprise simulator on Epic at 4K and it did not miss a beat, so... 770 is fine by me. Don't need no SLI 2080s or whatever.
Now it's time to actually, you know, finish something.
EDIT: Photos with plants swapped. Note 2015 MBP is in for service, so it isn't present in these photos.

Given some spare parts that would otherwise have been thrown in the garbage (2 Core Pentium, 1155 MicroATX motherboard, 8GBs of RAM, 450 watt power supply). Put it in a $60 case with red fans, added some nice cables and a red SSD, tossed in my GTX 660 which is incompatible with Mojave. Installed Linux Mint, and away we go. Will do CS:GO on high at 1080P. Will do 4K on the training course. I will be editing with it in KDEnLive. The theme, as should be obvious, is based on Himemiya Anthy from Revolutionary Girl Utena (I saw the Black Rose arc musical this past weekend).
Not bad for being mostly spare or garbage parts. Now I can be a PC too! ...but death before Windows.
