AMV Video Footage
Hey guys! Im new to making AMV´s and I plan on making more in the future. So here is my question: From where do you get your footage from? DO you record it yourself or are there any good websites from where I get just right the good scenes from an anime to edit? I couldnt find any good website

Re: AMV Video Footage
At this point, I think that most editors download their footage from unofficial sources, but it's always been against the site rules to post any information on how or where to get footage besides ripping it yourself from DVDs or Blu rays. But once you obtain your footage, there are guides on how to convert it into an editable format here: AMV101: Prepping Source

I'd use XMediaRecode (free, open source) to convert flv and a downloader extension to get them from streaming sites (cannot mention them). just please don't reupload them without editing. Best of luck!
