AE, SV, or both?

Hi guys, quick question, I want to create a trailer AMV so basically just putting together clips of anime to lipsync with the trailer audio, nothing too crazy with effects. I've heard some people usually put the AMV together in vegas and then add effects in AE, is this a good method to follow or should I just stick with one program? Thanks!

It all comes down to preference. I personally just use Vegas for everything. But for people that use After Effects, they typically edit their video with Premiere and then bring it into After Effects.
