The main problem I think Tobin ran into was bandwith. I dont have a stable site, so we would have to solve that problem first.

Here is the writing situation as I see it:
You are going to have a (litterally) HUGE number of people who will want to write. It's fun, and everyone thinks they know how to write well (same way with singing *shoves pinkies in ears*) and most of those people will mostly want to talk about their opinions about things (not necisarily a bad thing.) So you are going to need to have a MASSIVE editorial section. I would make room for 10-15 total writers, with maybe 5 regulars doing reviews/stories/articles in a more objective way. You may want to try to get a couple of writers who work AWAY from the org because everybody who goes here will have largely the same ideas. You should see if you can try to pull some alternative viewpoints for the editorials. You should expect at least 20 pages of typical MS word single spaced pages of pure writing. You have all the writers do their own picture work/desktop publishing. Make the page sizes more "digest sized" and you probably have at least 40 pages per issue just for the writing.
Other than writing, you shouldn't hold yourselves down to firmly to a "one a month on the 15th" kind of schedule.... because you won't make it. You might think of 1 every 2 months more realisticly.

Not bad ideas Ahston. I was thinking that more writers would be needed but wasn't sure if there would be enough interest or people motivated enough to work on it. I already gotten quite a few messages asking to be part of this. Ashton since you lived in japan and seem to have a good grasp on the anime world I would love for you to be part of this. Here is a list I have made of people so far:

I would recommend keeping the magazine (if it comes together) in electronic format. Knowing what my club (Terrapin Anime Society) has to go through every time we go to hard copy for our zine (Tsunami), it's got to be easier to keep it online, even if it's text only.

That said, I wanna be an editorial columnist =)
