A question with regards to lipsynch
My apologies if this has been previously addressed, but a cursorary search did not reveal anything of this sort, so I am posting a new topic. When lipsynching, is it better to create a mouth movement for the words, even if a human mouth would not noticably move? For example, the phrase, "...the hive." When I say this phrase, it is accomplished smoothly, in a single mouth open, mouth close movement, owing to the sounds involved. I have lipsynched as such. However, when some people view this particular sequence, the have said that the voice acting is bad, as the character seems to be saying only "..theeeeeeeee". The question I ask is this, is it better to do it as one would naturally, or as people don't seem to know that that is the natural way, is it better to spoof it just for effect. I thank you for any help you might be able to provide.

I hope you know that after I read this, I said "the hive" about fifty times in the mirror. Anywho, I think that people are stupid... and if the only reason you are asking this is to please other people, then listen to them... But if it is for you, then do it your way, and when they say..."IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE HE'S SAYING THE HIVE!!!" Pull out the AK and blast 'em, beacause that is what an AK is for.
