Hosting a server

Post by Venomi » Wed Apr 02, 2003 10:01 am

Does anyone else host they'r AMV's on they'r own server? And if does, what kind of traffic do you get? I get about 12-15G traffic a day!

Yeah, on my server I have the same script, but I've been doing the work, looing at the numbers, and using four other different stats programs with it, and I have find that one says WAY to high. You probably are getting multi-gig levels, but don't freak out too much, try to do some of your own math and see if those stats look realistic.

Well, you have half a gig of vids available for DL, so if someone just stumbles upon your stuff they may DL most (if not all) of them. That alone would be half a gig in a short period of time.

You appear to have

DL's - - - - Filesize - - - - - Total
55 - - - - - - 33 MB - - - - - 1.8 Gigs
167 - - - - - 31 MB - - - - - 5 gigs
41 - - - - - - 24 MB - - - - - Almost a Gig
29 - - - - - - 167 MB - - - - 4.8 Gigs
31 - - - - - - 133 MB - - - - 4 Gigs
2 - - - - - - - 101 MB - - - - 200 MB

For a Grand total of 17 Gigs of bandwidth since you have had your Vids available for DL (January for half of them)

Your stat sheet says you have gotten a total of 24 Gigs of bndwidth in 24 hours.

Just making a judgement call, I would say the stat program isn't quite right. Even taking account of traffic that isn't from here, the numbers don't add up.
