Good point Stalker. but it doesn't matter now because i've changed my mind on the footage I was gonna use for my vid.... upon reading further into the AMV creation guides left by several of the ppl here on the forum i've decided to use footage straight from my NGE: Death and Rebirth and NGE: The end of Evengelion. I figured why use possibly crappy footage when I have the DVD's. And there's plenty of footage to spare on these bad boys.

I have this problem too, and i was gonna ask if it was ok. I wound up using alot of the same footage in both my "Evangelion - Bring Me To Life" and "Evangelion - Nothing Else Matters" music video. The parts I used in both of them are -
1. The scene from EoE when Shinji and Rei are in the sea of LCL towards the end, Shinji looks up, sees the moon, blinks, and sees Rei in front of him, then he holds her hand and says "thank you"
2. The scene where Rei comes up from Earth, wraps her hands around the egg of lilith and grows wings (i personally find this to be a very beautiful scene)
There were other smaller parts, but theres too many to name. And I thought the videos were sufficiently different anyway, so....

Anyway, Wired, it really is pretty much unavoidable, and it really doesn't matter if it's a short scene, like the one you're talking about.
However, if it's a long scene, like, say, Dagger cutting her hair in FFIX, and you use that atleast once in a few videos, it gets really annoying, espiecially when you watch both videos with that same scene in it back to back.

Gah, I missed that. I need to read everything two times over, nowadays. The Wired wrote:Good point Stalker. but it doesn't matter now because i've changed my mind on the footage I was gonna use for my vid.... upon reading further into the AMV creation guides left by several of the ppl here on the forum i've decided to use footage straight from my NGE: Death and Rebirth and NGE: The end of Evengelion. But, also, if you use the same scene in two different videos, but you, say, "spruce it up" with faster cuts, and odd effects... No one can really tell the difference and it looks like a brand new scene. ^-^
