Lightning Bolt Moments

Post by BishounenStalker » Sun Jun 01, 2003 3:42 pm

Is there anyone here besides me who discovers inspiration for AMVs just by cleaning out their hard drive because their mp3 collection's getting too big?

As in, you're thinking of a certain anime for whatever reason, and you're listening to your 6+GB mp3 collection to decide which songs are worth the HD space, and suddenly you come across a perfect (and oftentimes twisted and utterly wrong) song to use in an AMV for said anime?

Or am I just crazy? :?

It's happened to me more times than I'd care to admit, since I don't have the resources or time to make these AMVs. Anyone else have these moments of lightning bolt inspiration, too?

Yup...yup....(we all are, I think :P )

You are definitely not the only one. Most, if not all, of my AMV ideas come from those "lightning bolt" inspiration moments (usually it's when I'm listening to the radio while driving to work though.)

Your mind's on the consumption of alcohol instead of anything else!

Pick up a beer right now and experiment. Try watching 4 tvs going at the same time while drinking that beer. Or try to make an AMV while drinking. Oh wait... I did the last one before! ^_^ but it was a little bit of alcohol in some berry juice that we just picked.

How did this topc end up on drinking alcohol? We were discussing ligtning. Did you know that their are parts of a lightening bolt called elves and sprites? Instead of striking downward from a cloud, as part of the main bolt, they actually shoot upward into the higher levels of the atmospere. Since we are stuck on the ground we never see 'em. But high altitude planes detected them several years back. No one is quite sure what they are, or why they are formed. But, they look neat.

I was thinking on that too.

Well on the lightning thing... Did you know that lightning goes from the ground up to the sky?
