That would do it if he can't read the files once they're on his computer, but I thought he couldn't download them to begin with. You don't need any special codecs just to download a file. At least, not as far as I know.Dannywilson wrote:INSTALL THE CODECS.Zelus wrote:i dont know. it just sys that the fiel can't be or isnt supported. im not the one with comp smarts iv got anime smarts (hence my otaku satus). but im going to try de-fraging my comp and seeing if that dose any thing for me. if not then... im screwed.

Decipher his original statement that I quoted. He's Quoted to the letter what WMP says when it doesn't have the right codec. He most likely needs divx, xvid, or whatever.Arigatomyna wrote:That would do it if he can't read the files once they're on his computer, but I thought he couldn't download them to begin with. See, I had trouble with the first statement, that's why I asked if he could get the file downloaded in the first place (since the header was 'save amv?') and he said he couldn't save it because of his internet connection. But now that I reread some of his answers, it *does* sound like a codec upgrade would smooth things out. That was my first thought - get xvid, look for different formatted amvs, but I couldn't decipher very well, I guess. >.<

Does Windows Media Player really say "the fiel can't be or isnt supported"? I know it's Microsoft policy to use their own products, but Word's spell check must getting worse every day.Dannywilson wrote:He's Quoted to the letter what WMP says when it doesn't have the right codec.
