Rhythm of the Heat was by Brad Demoss (MisterFurious). It's up for download if you want a copy.Sousaphonist wrote:The first extremely good video I ever saw was (again, forgotten creator name) at A-Kon, again to a Peter Gabriel song, "The Rhythm of the Heat" to Princess Mononoke. Then there was "Transformation" by Kusoyaro Productions...

At some teeny little sci-fi convention I went to in Houston in 1994, in the anime room they showed AMVs as filler between movies. The first one I saw was Dirty Pair to "Girls with Guns" by Tommy Shaw; I want to say it was by C-ko, but I might very well be wrong. It was obviously done via the 2VCR method, the footage quality was miserable, and I loved every second of it.
Sadly, it's not in the database here, nor have I managed to hunt it up elsewhere online. No, it's not high art, but it's definitely a classic.

The very first AMV I ever saw was Mambo no. 5 as a Brock profile, but that was way back when (maybe 1999, I'm not sure. Sometime around then).
The first AMV I downloaded from a-m-v.org, though....I can't remember....I think it was Doki Doki's Right Now, or NYO is WAR. One of the two...
