To crop or not to Crop

Hey there, I'm working on an Eva video, and pulling the footage off of the EoE DVDs gives me the damn letterbox. Should I crop off the letter boxing, making it fit with the rest of the footage, or should I just leave it. BTW, this is being submitted for competitions, so I'm all ears. Thanks.

If the video switches back and forth between the footage, i would crop it. If theres only a certain part of the video that uses footage of the movie, then I might leave the letterboxing.

Cool, thanks a lot. I just made a copy of my project, rendering it as I type with it de-letterboxed. Hopefully it turns out good.

Personally, I'd crop the TV eps to make them wide screen. Widescreen instantly makes stuff artsy.
