Song Suggestions?

Post by VegetaMight » Sun Dec 14, 2003 1:16 am

Alright... I've been out of the AMV biz for awhile now (since 2001), and I'd like to give it yet another shot.

I'd like to use the original Mobile Suit Gundam: Movie 1 for the footage... however, I can't seem to come up with a good song to match it.

Please post your song ideas for this. Thanks

Is there an idea or theme that you are centering it around? What type of amv are you creating? Action, drama, other, combination?

It'll be helpful to know some more details.
GeneshaSeal - Dead Seals for Free
Orgasm - It's a Science

Any specifics?

Genre, mood, lenght, instruments...

Off hand, I would say using some Operation Ivy, but that's based on nothing more than the fact it's what I'm listening to right now.

I'm thinking an Action/Drama would be proper.

Drama, hmm:

Skinny Puppy - Testure
It's slow, long, and dark.

Bjork - Hyperballad
It's slow, long, and dark.

The Tear Garden - In Search Of My Rose <--great song
It's slow, long, and dark.

Teargas and Plateglass - Adagio For Tandems Stacked
It's slow, long, and dark. But with a hip-hop vibe.

You could do a pilot/mech AMV. Ships are usually referred to as female--a mech is like a pilot's ship.

So use Bob Dylan's "Just Like a Woman".

(OK, so maybe I just want someone to use Bob Dylan. But is that so wrong? Is that so wrong?)
Don't you hate it when people describe something as "cute" when they really mean "God, I want to fuck that"?

Just to help you out, the Tearglass and Plateglass is available for legal download from waxploitation.

Bjork and Skinny Puppy should be easy enough to find.

The Tear Garden song may be difficult. You can get the CD for dirt cheap at Werkshop. It's off of "To Be An Angel Blind...", you may be able to track it down on Brainwashed Radio, although there is no direct way to request a song, you can apparently send them an e-mail.
