Sounds like your on dial-up.

I have had similar complications my self downloading. I have had videos strobe and go colors like you described.

This is basically an educated guess based on similar occurrences I have encountered.

Maybe, Could Be, Hard to Say

The vid creator may have had a lot of programs running at the time they exported the video. (That can make the export have hiccups of various kinds.)

The vid creator may have uploaded and not checked to make sure it worked.

The video may have been a preview or some half done version. (Even though your not supposed to do that.)

You may need a codec. Make sure you have Xvid, DivX, and any that come with Winamp 3. (These are all common. They may have used a weird codec, so message the creator if you need too.)

Suggestions:

Check to see what codecs you have on your computer. See if you can find some to download if you only have a few. Xvid, DivX, and Winamp 3 should give you a good number. I think DivX comes with the Xvid codec, but I don’t remember. Realplayer may give you some, but I can't remember. Its worth downloading anyway.

Try letting the download just go ahead. Sometimes the time estimation can be really really wrong. Let it download over night if you want.

Message the creator to see if they had tested the video after upload. Or to see if it is a preview version.

Message the vid creator and see if they will check the download for you.

After reading this topic I suddenly feel like I jumped into a pool of sharks by posting.
