Looking for all the DDR projects.

Post by gypsy » Sun Jun 06, 2004 5:40 pm

Hi there.

I've been looking for good copies of the DDR projects since I found out about them some time ago. (Last year I think)

I'll be attending Otakon this year. Does anybody have the DDR projects on file that'll be able to give it to me? I'd be more than willing to pay for disk usage ect. I'd like DDr projects 1, 2, 3 (is there a 4?) I'd like all of them.

If it was on a DVD to play on my dvd player that would be even better.

Else if someone cna direct me to a place where I can get the entire project that would also help. Though I prever having a cd/dvd.

Thanx
Cheers vir eers

There's only 3 for now. The 4th will come out at AWA this year, as usual. There's video files of the first three floating around from when Waldo's FTP was still up (I have 2 and 3 burned on CD), and DVDs used to be made of the 2nd project. Not sure if they're still making those. And they just recently started making copies of the 1st and 3rd projects on one single DVD. Again, I'm not sure if they're still making them.

Hope that helps :|

The company that loans equipment to the AMV Iron Chefs (I forget their name, so much for product placement) had all three projects for sell on DVD at Anime Central. 1 & 3 were on one DVD and 2 was on another with both DVDs have Iron Chef videos as well. I imagine they'll be at AWA and you can probably pick them up there. They were more expensive than I'd expect a fan made project to be but I'll leave it to others to determine if there is any profit making going on and if so is it wrong.

These aren't DVD-Rs they were factory pressed dvds, hence the cost.

I think it was $20 each or $35 for both but with all the crap I bought that weekend I won't swear by it. Regardless, I distinctly remembering thinking the cost was high for a fan made project if they were were just covering distribution costs. I want to make clear I am NOT claiming it was sold for profit though, just that my totally uniformed opinion on costs make me wonder. Perhaps ADs comment about it being factory pressed is all the explanation that is needed.

They are very good quality, and look to be done by a professional studio (as well as being pressed DVDs, yes) so I consider them worth the cost.

I don't really care too much about money being made; yeah, it's wrong if it is, but it's not my place to judge that.
If it doesn't get me drunk, explode, or have breasts, I'm not interested.

yeah it was $20 for each for sure cause i got the 1,3 one. it's worth the money. i'd rather see it on the tv than on the computer anyday.

I will not be able to attend AWA.

I'm in the states for a limited amount of time and my trip to otakon is already costing me about $600.

Will anybody be willing to buy these dvd's at AWA and bring it for me? Or is there a place where I can order them online?

I'd like all three projects.

Thanx
