Suggests on getting my AMV noticed

I just got finished with my first anime music video a few days ago. The problem is, I've been working on it for about 6 months and put a lot of work into it and now I want to show it off, but I've realized that this site is so big and so cluttered with music videos that it's hard to get noticed. So now I really want to make an effort to get people to notice it. Does anybody have any suggestions for me to get my video out there and somwhat recognized?

Umm, generally when people announce videos they describe it a little. At the very least they give the anime(s) and song(s) being used. There's also generally a link posted. Just post that stuff in the suggestion forum and it'll get a little attention. If you want more attention participate in <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... 6">opinion exchanges</a> but keep in mind not everyone there will tell you how great it is.

Argh, I'm tired. Don't post this stuff in the suggestion forum. Post it in the <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... nouncement forum</a>. Stupid me. I did at least get the op forum info right though.

1] Post an announcement in AMV Announcements

2] Give and receive opinions in Opinion Exchange

3] Submit your video to contests or conventions

4] Link to the video in your sig (heck, it works sometimes)

Pretty much what everyone else has said. put up the announcement. Whore your video out in the Op Exchange. but remember pimp proud... and don't forget the occasional shameless self promoting post in a random topic thread.

for example:
<check out my vid!>

now remember don't over do the shameless self promoting sometimes people think thats rude especially if you just spam the thread. You have to contribute to the conversation that is taking place, and discreetly mention your vid.
