Need a little help here...

First off: PLEASE do not post such huge pictures on these forums. They stretch the pages and are a pain.

Now then.

Just tried to re-make one of my videos into AVI video format, I was browsing the "other settings" when I clicked on WMM2 to "make it into a movie"...and just realized something horrible; it'll take up about 1K of memory.

1K OF MEMORY!!! GOD NO!!

This site doesn't let you send in movies that are more than 100 MB (Which is the original Rock Lee Tribute video that I made...about 91 MB, and in WMV format, which means I don't think ANYONE has successfully seen.)

I want its quality to turn out top-notch, yet I don't want it to churn out 1K of the memory on my computer. Is there anything else I can do? I mean...I really want to show you guys my videos. *freaks out like Excel*

Um, are you confusing memory with hard drive space, and 1K with 1 gig? That's the only way I see to make what you just said make sense.

Assuming that's what you meant: yeah, DV AVI files are huge. But that is not a problem, because <b>that's not the file you'd put up for online distribution.</b> You'd take that big ol' DV AVI and compress it to something else (either DivX/XviD AVI with VDubMod, or MPEG-1 with TMPGEnc) that WOULD be small enough to distribute.

Just a few other questions:

1) What do you guys mean by "EO"? What the heck is that?

It's a free video converter/player/joiner. It's good for handling file types that <a href="http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net">VDubMod</a> and <a href="http://www.tmpgenc.net">TMPGEnc</a> won't touch for whatever reason.

2) What is "TMPG"?!??

It's perhaps the best free MPEG-1 encoder around. You also get 30 days of MPEG-2 encoding capability; for more, you have to register and get the full version. It's not that expensive.

I feel so lost in all these abbreviations. ^^;

Freaking sweet! I downloaded EO Video and got some of my videos converted into MPEG! THe only downside, is that they take up more memory than the WMV versions. They are sized in at more than 100, so I can't show them here on animemusicvideos.org. Suck.

Anyways, I guess I'll have to give the video to a friend of mine who's in an AMV studio/company or whatever so he can post it on his site and so I can link you guys to the video....once I actually see him.

Oh seriously man, how long/large are your videos? If I made a 720x400 video that's 7.5 minutes long into a 70mb file (being quite tech-illiterate, myself), I frankly can't see how it can be so impossible to get any video under 10 minutes into good-quality compression

Err... to avoid being an asshole, what settings were you using for the encode? Surely there is a way to tone down the bitrate of the MPEG's - how about you mess with the settings a bit?
