When people steal your clips

erm, feel what way ? the only real erason anyone should stop editiing is because they're bored of it or they're having some technical issue. oh and, its only a mouseclick to see if someone makes amv's.

It WOULD bother you if you spent all the time on them that i did...it took 2 days alone ripping all of my Utena DVDs, and then ages choosing clips (ITS 39 EPISODES!!) and editing, using effects, overlays, cropping...i put time, effort, and love into my AMVs.. and then someone steals it, puts in thier own music, and calls it thier own. HELL YES I AM MAD!!!!!

Well, look at it the other way...he/she has certainly liked the thing he/she saw. No wonder that person wants to make something that looks exactly like it.

i think she meant they took exactly it. Which should be frowned apon. Not embraced.

I know it is somewhat complimentary...but instead of stealing footage, how about just a nice opinion...stealing someone's efforts is only a slap in the face, not a pat on the back.

I am sorry you feel that way, and since you are very uncomfortable with this situation, I have requested the deletion of my video. I would like to clear it up though, that I have used 5 AMVs to make this, not like I took one of your AMVs put in different music and called it my own. That would be just plain stupid. However, there are many people out there who have all of their clips from other AMVs, from other AMVs that people also put effort, and just as much hard work as you have into yours. That is the way a-m-v.org is run, and there is nothing in the rules against using other people's clips.

Wouldnt downloading AMVs then using them as your footage for your own AMV break rule:

2. Thou shalt not use downloaded video footage to make AMVs.
