I usually make an intro with the production group name..LIke Have a scene from the anime add music to the background and add the production name with the beat *like have it slide in and then fade out* and then at the end just say when it wzas made and by who..
And for my intro i gor alot of good comments on it so it cant be that bad ^_^ and usually the intro somewhat tells you about the video..

I prefer a little of both, on my whole 1 video I put a general introduction at the beginning and the actual credits at the end
you are an artist, a god in your own mind

I used to try make my intros exciting in some way (even though looking back I failed miserably) now I just keep it simple, also I was sick of hearing the end of "The Wicker Man" by Iron Maiden all the time. Till I feel the need to make action sequenced opening credits, I'll keep it simple or I let it flow with the AMV like a movie. However its like what Farlo said, its all user preference, if you can get the viewer's full attension immediately before the AMV starts then set them into it with no problem then all power to the creator.

Wow, this thread is still alive?
OK, I guess I'll respond...
Anyway, I still don't see the need for bumpers. I personally don't want Joe Q. P2P, or whoever, knowing it's me who made that weird-ass Eva video where Rei and Asuka cry. One, I don't care to have him contact me; two (more important), I'm pretty sure he doesn't care who made it, nor does he care to have such information shoved in his face. If he does, then he'll look around.
I always found bumpers to be a little pompous. Despite doing all kinds of weird image manipulation work, I still regard AMVing as nothing more than cutting up cartoons and setting them to music. To me, that is unworthy of credit; thus, I don't really want my name or any handle associated with me slapped on such a thing.
In cases where it's out of my control (e.g. DDR Project) I'll just go along with it; I don't really want to make a fuss to the point where it starts to impact other people. But when I have control, I'll continue to not provide any information on the creator of my videos.

I found 'always' on Kazaa before I found the org.

I clearly haven't found bumpers in general to always be pompous, having used anime/music information for bumpers before :Ptrythil wrote: I always found bumpers containing the creator's name and/or contact information to be a little pompous.
