History Channle Commercials

Post by LinkDX » Mon Aug 16, 2004 6:55 pm

A while back I had the Idea to create a short AMV using a History Channle commercial as the audio, and useing diffrent anime for the footage. I personaly want to use Mobile Suit Gundam to a World War I or World War II commercial. If anyone has any ideas about starting this, please feel free to post ideas fot videos and a way to colaborate.

oh if this is one of those commercials like. Come support our troops deal and an inspiration to join the army well i got an idea for that. Make the scenes black and white. and the pearl harbor part. "The day that would live on an infimy" U could use the space colony blowing up. U could use hte first Mobile suit gundam for that maybe.

That is a good idea, I could maby even use the clip of the colony hitting Sydney. Thanks for the idea. I relize it would be hard to do online, with me not having a website, or the money to start one.

I find it a little ironic and possibly not a good idea to relate anything anime with the phrase "a day that will live in infamy." ^_^;;;

That my be true, but thats not the only idea I have, I could also use "Secret Wepons of WWII" or some other commercial. Thanks for bringing that up. I would not like people to begin to hate me for doing something like that.

It's not a bad idea. Think outside the box. I wouldn't just put war with war, Give us more to go on. Give us a transcript of a commercial and mebbe we can come up with something different.

Or, you could always re-create your own audio with the same style. I have a website where you type into it and it creates a wav file of what you say.

That would be a great idea. That was a major problem I would face, how to find the audio byte I need. Could you give me the website?

I had a really good site, but I can't find it just now - the site was given to me on a post here at a-m-v.org. However in the meantime, you can check out Bored.com. That's where I found the first one. There's at least another site someone sent me once that has more voice options, better quality. I bet if you made a new thread someone could stop by and point it out to us both.
Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.
