I'm not really new here, but this is my first post. I agree with CerebralAssamite. I mean if you can make a better MV then go ahead and do it, but dont take advantage of your right to criticize so much. I always say, if you cant do better then just shut your mouth. Also, for those of you who bad mouth people who don't make as good as an AMV as your high standards project, just get off your high horse because we've all been there at one point or another.

I didn't mean it like that guys, it is a really good AMV but I want to see which is the BEST EVER not just a really good one. I said it in passing as I was in a bit of a hurry at the time, but yes my standards are high.

As for Euphoria not being good... well its one of the best EVER music videos out there.

*shrugs* you saying that has equal meaning to what I said, its all an opinion, as for there being a "BEST" dbz vid out there well your taste is Euphoria style in a dbz amv... apart from dbz conclusion i dont think you can get any closer, let alone any anime with Euphoria styles, if your in a hurry then stop right there. It will be some time before someone can make another video similar in style to Euphoria and if you cant wait just download more of their videos, the Rei Ayanami one is another like Euphoria so yeah, waste some time or just wait around, i dont think you have much of a choice.

I think the main problem here is that a single video is being taken as a 'style' that should (or is expected to) apply to any anime, any creator, any video.

Let's say it flat out, shall we? Euphoria is a video. It isn't a style. It's a unique video that mixes effects and scenes to create something new. Take the effects away, or take the anime choice away - those specific scenes - and it isn't Euphoria anymore.

You can't expect to find a 'DBZ Euphoria,' or a 'Bebop Euphoria' or anything *but* the single, unique video we know as Euphoria. Koop, the creator, may be able to duplicate the 'style' of editing he used in future videos, but those will not be the same, they won't be that video - they'll just be videos made by a creator with a steady style. The key? It's his style, not a set style of editing. Unless he remakes his video using different anime, you'll never see a version of Euphoria for every anime you'd want one for. It doesn't work that way.

Now...if you're taking Euphoria and using it as a 'standard' for 'effect+drama' vids, or 'complex editing+pretty scenes' vid, then that's fine. You can find lots of those for all sorts of anime. But they are not going to be in the 'style' of Euphoria. Euphoria isn't a style, it *uses* a style particular to its creator. That's what makes it original.

It's an video, not an amv movement.

If you want to find the 'BEST EVAR' video, go make it yourself or shut up and be happy with what other creators are kind enough to let you watch - their effort, not your own.

Hey look guys I don't mean to be rude or over critical, which you guys obviously feel I am being, but I mean telling me to "shut up" Arigatomyna that's not really needed.

As for your point on style - I can't say I totally followed what you were trying to say, I'll have to re read it, but I appreciate that Eurphoria has a distinct style that Koop has used, but when I make reference to the vid I'm not actually liking it to being one of the best because of the editting style or scene selection, I was more implying the impact that it had on me. Like I have stated above I believe the difference between good and the best is how much a music vid actually moves you, has an impact on you or makes you feel certain emotions, if you know what I mean. Unfortunately what will have an impact on one will invariably be different to another but there are good vis out there that have the ability to reach out to a largely audience, and well those are the sort of vids I would describe as some of the best. By all means there are other vids that may have more of impact for yourself than others - but I'd refer to them as more personal favourites.

Now I'm not out here claiming I can do better and never have - I'll be first to admit that all these vids mentioned thus far are probably that much more impressive than what I could make its embarassing. With that said I never claimed that I could even make a anime music video, but I do like and appreciate them, and thoroughly enjoy them, maybe some time in the near future I'll give it a crack but considering I don't have loads of time on my hands I don't think I could dedicate the time, nor do I have the skills, needed to make something that is worth others watching.

Maybe this topic was inheritly flawed, after all "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

You really did come off as overly critical (not quite rude, just condescending to the videos offered - like sniffing your nose in disdain). It sounded like you have expectations that are not being met - which is understandable. But no one here is obligated to meet your expectations, so that sort of attitude is an outright flame to everyone beneath your standards. There are lots of 'elite' editors here who do that on a daily basis, we all hear them, but they don't start threads like this, so there's never any complaints or responses.

If you really weren't demeaning the videos turned down in this thread, then there isn't a problem - it seemed like you were. And I didn't tell you to shut up, I said if you wanted something that is the best (by your definition, best = something that impacts you personally) then you'd have to make it yourself because only you can do that, only you are obligated to do that. My comment was that if you weren't willing to make it for yourself, then you should take what you can get and accept that no one else is going to do it for you - they might do it for themselves and let you reap the benefits, but they won't do it for you. We don't have pay-per-creation editors on this site, at least not open ones.

But anyway. No need to reread my last post if it didn't make sense to you - especially if you aren't the condescending viewer you appeared to be. Just be sure I wasn't telling you to stop complaining - I was telling you to stop complaining *because* no one will make vids for you. You can still complain that they aren't very good in your opinion - we all get the pleasure of tearing vids apart like that. ;p Review system and all.

Yep. But it's still a good topic. Just explain what it takes for something to move you - give your image of the 'ideal' video for *you*. Then maybe we can find something that meets those requirements. Otherwise, you'll probably be looking for a while, only picking up those very rare gems from the masses.

I'm officially opened. Cnc if you want to have something to your liking with DBZ just supply me with enough DVD's (or DVD ripps) and you'll have it. Tell me the details about how you want it to look, which song, which eps. and I'll make it  . Only thing I ask for is that you supply me with enough material (DVD's to be precise) and I'll dew it. If that sounds okay to you don't hesitate to say  .

btw I'm not joking. :)

Thanks for the offer bote - but I guess I'm gonna have to give the whole making a music vid a go myself.
