What musical style do you prefer to use?

I don't follow it as a rule or anything but all the AMVs I've made are post-1950 instrumental character pieces. Which is kinda wierd since I don't particularly prefer that music. I guess it just fits my style of AMV...
I guess that is pretty different, since every time I enter a video the music's composer has not even been entered yet...

1st preferance is novelty / comedy. If it makes me laugh it has a chance.
2nd - upbeat / peppy songs. One of my early videos was set to 'Scotty dosen't know' from the Eurotrip soundtrack, sort of a punk number but it has a heck of a beat. My next project is also a pop tune that is not intentionally funny, but again has catchy lyrics.

Oh man. I use such a variety of music styles. I tend not to make AMVs based on what musical styles I like but on what music fits an anime. A lot of times I have been introduced to a song through the making of one of my AMVs, like with my new Slayers video.
I have noted, however that:
I have used DDR songs twice
I've used fantasy rock quite a bit (like Nightwish, Luca Turilli)
I've used two South Park songs
I've used both versions of Trogdor.
I guess when it comes to both music and anime I'm a "variety is the spice of life" kind of AMVer.

I use good music
I use noises and silence
Because ooh, you touch my tra-la-la. My ding-ding-dong.
