And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

But that is the exception. Excepting when an exception is the norm, then that exception is not an exception. Of course, that in itself is an exception from the exceptions, except in a case-by-case basis where an exception may be made.
Haha, I just love how you put that. Sums it up nicely. ^_^
Now, if I can just uncross my eyes...

However, you don't, for example, call Korean comics "manga", you call them "manwa" (Uh, not sure if I spelled that right...). But it still looks similar to Japanese manga.
Hm. Not sure what point I was going at there. But in any case, the mods on the side have obviously opted for definition one: stuff that comes from Japan. We could debate this to the end of the world, and there have been a lot of good theories and points on both sides, but still the mods have final say.
Took the words right out of my mouth, Shada (literally). I've seen a lot of this debate in my research of anime history(I have odd hobbies), and I for one would conclude that the word "anime" has developed two seperate definitions, or three if you include the ability to use definition two as an adjective. It just appears that the general public has yet to acknowledge both definitions rather than being split between the two. In the case of this site, wither or not definition two is accepted by the masses isn't important: what gets uploaded is based on definition one. Period. ...*sob* ...but that's how it goes.

Eh? So in Korea, it's "manwa"(assuming you spelt it correctly). Japanese artists draw it=manga; American artists draw it=manga again; but in Korea it's called something slightly different. Thanks a ton, Shada, now I gotta re-evaluate my research to account for this new term. -_- It never ends...

Eh? There actually ARE Smurf vids? Lol, I gotta check thoses out! ^_^
