I use overlays even when I'm not doing effects...

I'd say you haven't done true effect work until you've written your own =D

i think i may not be the only person to say this: after Olin, i tend to believe you're the effects master, i loved it by the way, the use of AE was just insane...in the best way possible.

but in a more on-topic sort of way:

generally i think effects based videos are overrated, not that long ago i watched Euphoria for the first time, i thought all the effects and stuff was just distracting...

the story was good, and i thought if koop had just left it without the effects it would have been more enjoyable to me, and thats what really matters isn't it?

Imean, technical proficiency is all well and good, but if the content of the vid is crap and you don't enjoy it whats the point?
