I've been having trouble finding music for EVA, though I have had some short-lived ideas, like: "...would it be cool to actually use Beethoven's Ode to Joy, if that hasn't been done already."

Anyways, if you have any good suggestions for some songs, feel free to let me know.

isn't the actual song his 9th symphony? and Ode to Joy is just one of the many sections of said symphony? Kind of like 4 Seasons....

Well, after doing a little searching, I think I've come up with some Eva-ish songs. By the way, I DID do a super search on all of these songs to make sure that they haven't been put with any downloadable Eva videos before.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse Soundtrack - Killswitch Engage - "The End of Heartache" - um, I specifically listed the CD it came off of because it is different from the original version, but it doesn't say it on the CD. Basically, there's singing where there would be screaming (which is why I like it better - it is far more musical.) Anyway, this song would be great for telling the stories of just about any of the characters, as well as showing action sequences.

SR-71 - "Tomorrow" - there IS an Eva video to this song, but it can't be downloaded, so whatever. This would be a great song for the Eva pilots, but I was thinking that it would make for a wonderful Rei profile. Just think about it: she shows no fear, she always feels useless and expendable, and all people ever seem to see in her is Yui.

System of a Down - "Ego Brain" - this song is very weird (and it hasn't been used at all, by the way,) but if you listen to it a few times, I think you'll understand why I'm suggesting it. I've actually suggested it on my own thread (The Side Characters Challenge!,) and I attached a huge description to it there. Oh, and this song is considerably less...violent...than other SOAD songs.

Course of Nature - "Wall of Shame" - this song, which hasn't been done at all, just screams Eva - especially if you want to make a Shinji-focused or Asuka-focused video. I can't explain much more than that. You just have to hear the song, I think.

Well, I hoped that helped some. If not, then tell me more of what KIND of song you'd like, and I'll try to work off of that. I like helping out, so don't be a stranger, okay? ^_^

What a long list of depressing songs. There are already far too many depressing Eva videos. Personally, I am trying to change it with some funny/stupid videos with Eva. Why don't pick a nice lighthearted song? (I am doing Play That Funky Music Terran Boy).

what about Coldplay? I think Clocks and Trouble are suitable.

havent you heard of sirenia, tristania, nightwish, theater of tragedy, therion, trail of tears, deine lakaien, the sins of thy beloved, within temptation, the gathering.... and the list continues... there are thoughsends of songs in these bands that would go great with eva!!

Merm - Sorry...I wasn't TRYING to suggest 'depressing' songs. Serious videos are just my forte. I apologize if I came off as morbid or something. ^_^;; I guess if lucid_fuse is looking for a happier song, then I could search for that too. I was just listing what sounded good to me. Actually, in my own defense, I will say that "Ego Brain" isn't depressing, per se, it's just weird. Meh, anywho, even if they are depressing, they're still good, right? ^_^

hey.. the bands i suggested.. where like ignored but there not all sad.. there just awsome with eva!!
espacially because they have different types of wierd moods in them.. like eva.. but hey.. mabe im just trying to make you guys make an amv that i would like.. i know you "norm" ppl dont like my wierd music.. then again.. any one who has completly seen eva at least twice.. can not be considered 100% sane anymore.
your right now im just rambeling on.. but im gonna create an amv one day.. and its gonna suc
but ill get better and ill create the one amv.. yes the one amv TO RULE THEM ALL!!!
