my shortest time was one hour and a half, yummay. Longest time editing was about 3 months. However my last AMV I storyboarded and wrote down ideas for the first time and that only took me 3 weeks or so ^_^;
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

Actually, I didn't put my shortest/longest
(note: I only list editing time, not preparation/conceptualization/compression)
Shortest: 7 hours over 2 days for a 1:50 AMV
Longest: 30 hours over 5 days for a 7:30 AMV
or
15 hours over 10 days for a 5:08 AMV
As for the other work put in, I've definitely spent a long time preparing for and compressing the 7:30 one, and an even loooonger time conceptualizing

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I hve only made 2 videos and a part of a small multic creator fun project, so i don't really have much experience how long i usually need for a amv but here are my estimated times:
Multi creator part took 3 days.
My first AMV took around 3 weeks after i waited 1 year to get an idea of what to do
My current AMV took 1 month.
(everything is meant including Photoshop work etc.)

I take FAR too long on my vids. I try to put so much subtlety, timing, story, and other stuff that most people won't notice. But I just can't help myself!
Shortest: One very grueling weekend for "Live and Let Die" since I'd just heard that Katsucon 4's deadline was that upcoming monday, and it was Friday afternoon. Also did the "Pokemon Fight Club" trailer (before I'd ever heard of anyone doing trailers) in one weekend for Otakon's very much missed MAT3K.
Longest: Aside from my current (which was started almost two years ago and sits unloved on my hard drive), I'd have to say about 6 months for "Shiny Happy People" but there was about a 3 month gap in the middle. So three months of actual work. As far as hours, I've no ideas, but "Lain's Dream" probably took the most actual hours. It was over about 2.5 months, but I was working about 8 hours a day on it, PLUS my full time job. *sigh*
It's hard to tell about "This Is Your Life" since I was also working on "This Is Otakudom" at the same time. Around two months, I think...
And what do you mean, "The lip synch was done by Scott A. Melzer and NoN.D.E.?" Huh? Why do you put a period after my middle name! Sheesh!
