too many redos

Post by RiderX » Mon Nov 29, 2004 4:51 pm

i notice a lot of songs that are done over and over again, but very few that i like so heres a list of Dos and Donts!

DO
Sweet home alabama
DMX songs
Queen songs
Billy Joel songs
Black Eyed Peas songs
dancetype genres (i cant think of any if there are some please list what their names are)

Dont
Linkin park songs
crappy rap (most all rap qualifies as crappy except a few)

thats about all i can think of, i had a few more for Donts and another for Do but i cant remember them

PS: this is my personal preference, and im kind of a noob so you dont have to listen or anything

Very useful post, really.
This certainly is enlightening to think that people actually take notice to these things, really, you are being very useful in this.

You know what, i'll put down a list of dos and donts here myself

DO
Use songs that have never been used before, by bands that people usually pay little attention to (like my Probot and Stuck Mojo AMVs, still the only ones out there from these bands)
Edit propperly. Poorly edited videos always look like crap

DONT
Don't use downloaded footage, or use other peoples AMVs
Don't use downloaded songs.
Don't use rap or what they call popmusic nowadays, those things suck hairy monkey balls
Don't use overused series, unless you are doing something really original, that has never been done before
Don't make what has already been made, seeing the same footage to the same song again and again get's quite annoying

OMG you two just made my day :D

just give me a few secs so that I may get my robe

the robe I will wear while I crawl behind each and every one of your steps

as I worship the ground you walk on :?

/end
Oh how convenient. A theory about God that doesn't require looking through a telescope.

Indeed you have already noticed the sarcasm in my post. For those that didn't, well, i sort of meant it i think, but making a post about it is about as useless as they come.
And everyone knows this, and half the people here ignore it, or whatever. This is just plain useless, i guess

While I generally agree so far, I'll say that as far as Queen songs go, "Bohemien Rhapsody" is overused, in my opinion. Outside of that one, I agree with it entirely. BOC could use a few more as well...

That is one opinion I can't argue with. :)

Yeah. I admit I'm a fan of his music.

MetalWolf did a pretty decent one to "We Didn't Start the Fire", see if I can't dig that up real quick...
