Need help selecting a series for a SILLY song about ...

... hitting things out of frustration.

[And I don't want to tell the song because one of these Gods of the Iron Chef will crank out a comical digital masterpiece to it over a weekend. ]

OK, I need a young, comical male, preferably in a school series, who beats on something like either an inanimate object or another character in the context of light hearted slapstick - preferably with a wooden stick or a bokutou. But it has to look FUN and FUNNY. (Counter-example: I could hand-animate Gendou pounding on Shinji or Asuka but that would be twisted and negative and NOT FUNNY.)

Azumanga Daioh is tempting because its silly enough that you don't take the physical stuff seriously (example: Yukari Sensei beating on Osaka or Tomo with her purse, or Chiyo-chan getting nailed by a volleyball) but it's a little too common - we've all seen Sakaki get her hand bit by the grey cat, etc - it's getting as over-used as the tractor-trailer tires getting shot out in 'Gunsmith Cats.'

A school series with the light and silly feel like 'Sensei no Ojikan' would work (but nobody goes pounding on things there.)

Hmm, somehow the scene of Kuno with the Phoenix on his head hitting Ranma over the head is coming to mind...

Tenjou Tenge, though being (more or less) serious, could have it's fighting taken in a comical light.

Happy World would probably be the most fitting, although it's rather short. Both Takeshi and his mother seem fond of dealing out chops to the head, and it's in a comical manner.
Also, you might want to check out Rizelmine. Iwaki seems to like beating up on Rizel quite frequently, but it's more slapstick than anything.

(namely of Kaoru smacking poor Kenshin for various reasons)

And loads of scenes involving Carrot Glace getting smacked/slapped, etc.

While the full series is far from funny, Shu in the first ep of 'Now and Then, Here and There' proves pretty amusing during a kendo presentation, choosing to charge in screaming and promptly having his butt handed to him.
