Help

Post by IAmTheTrueSunMan » Tue Dec 21, 2004 12:01 am

I have just stared to make videos but my program sucks, do any of you have any suggestions on a good video maker program.
Some interesting things to think about:
1=> 50-50-90 rule: When you have a 50 50 chance of getting it, there's a 90% chance you won't.
2=> If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten.
3=> Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.

I personally recommend Vegas, Premiere, and such for advanced video editing programs.

Oh, and please read the Forum Rules.

If your just starting out and don't have 300$ to burn, just use WMM for the time being.

I agree Adobe Premier, yeah its a little bit harder to use but it is a nice program. For someone just starting out I would recommend Pinnacle Studio 8 with the DVC 150 for capture ($150). It has nice capture quality and the editing in it is similar to adobe priemer but somewhat easier.

That's a waste for a novice. First off, Studio 8 is about as advanced as WMM2 if not less. Second, why get a capture card when you can just rip the DVD and get *perfect* quality instead of just-short of perfect?

I personally prefer Premiere. If you're in college you can get it on student discount @ www.journeyed.com, if you're not you can always shop around on eBay and try to find 6.5 for cheap.

On the subject of Priemere. My computer (Windows Millenium Edition) won't let me use it. I went through all the trouble of getting it and it won't work. Is there something I need, like a prerequisite I need?

For Premiere Pro, yes. And it's called Windows XP. :?
