The Passion of the Shinji
Not a music video per se, but an interesting idea.
I received this idea from a friend who wanted to remake the entire Evangelion series with the characters speaking Latin. I just might try this but I would be perfectly willing to recieve some help if people are interested. Not the whole series, maybe just an episode.

The reason that Gibson filmed 'The Passion' in Aramaic and Latin is that those were the actual languages spoken at the time, which makes it historically/contextually relevant and thus interesting. Dubbing an Evangelion episode into Latin makes about as much sense as... I don't know, dubbing an episode of Trigun into Hebrew, or dubbing an episode of Red vs. Blue into Japanese*. Sure, it'd be a good exercise in translation, but that's all.
However, if you're going to re-edit the anime and significantly change the story to justify using a dead language, then it might be interesting.
*A friend of mine actually did this as a project for his Oral Intensive class, believe it or not

but not that i'm not saying the project sux in face he could go for it for all i care but i would see it but i still don't see why he needs to put it in Latin, other than seeing the show in Latin, what will i get back from seeing an episode thats been dubbed in Latin, then what i don't get from seeing the dubbed english ver. of Evangelion

It was just that the entire series have a lot of biblical terms and playing it in an appropriate language (with possible changes) would be an interesting long term project.

as for the latin- well if you're a latin freak (I have a friend who is) it might be fun- but otherwise I don't know if it would really enhance eva. but good luck to ya!
