I have to say this is excellent work. It gives a good explanation and some background for the curious and/or anyone not familiar with AMVs, and gives newer editors like me some semblance of time frames in the history. An organized base like this might help in any future work to improve the depth of the information.

I believe I managed to drop by for part of that panel(had to balance between food, occasional other events, and taking in the entirety of Expo and Masters, plus the night viewings. Very little sleep :) ), and I seem to remember later on a comment about something involving a Kevin Caldwell reference confusing things. I'm certain he did not attend any panels, or I(or somebody else) would have heard it. It's possible he may attend occasional anime conventions, but if he does he probably makes an effort to keep a low profile.

Ohhh! New sig! Hehehe

Great job on all this. If anyone asks about AMVs, I'll most likely be pointing them in this thesis' direction.

I don't think he's ever been to AWA and he certainly wasn't there this year.
True, I'm afraid. Caldwell was invited to AWA before I took over, but never came (in fact, I'm not sure we ever heard back from him, but you'd have to ask Jingoro), and unless he snuck in under my radar (never met him myself) and he was out of the hobby and not coming back when I was looking for guests.

May wish to add an addendum...
Als Gregor Samsa eines Morgens aus unruhigen Träumen erwachte, fand er sich in seinem Bett zu einem ungeheueren Ungeziefer verwandelt.

Could always do AD's old routine.

Drug 'em.
Sack 'em.
Bring 'em.
