No Love For Beck?

While browsing the selection of videos, I've noticed that hardly anyone uses Beck.

It's a bit sad, Beck is probably my favourite musician... Especially his work on Sea Change. Lots of sad videos could be done to that album.

Um, beck sucks. Not totoaly sucks but I've heard some of his music and didnt find them the least bit interesting.

This is just your opinion that Beck sucks. Making a general statement such as that is foolish.
You have to understand that each of his albums are mostly different. Mellow Gold is just weird, Odelay is a trip-hop masterpiece, Mutations is folk-y, Sea Change is sad and mellow, and Guero is somewhat like "Odelay-part 2".
I'm sure there are others that enjoy his work.

I happen to love Beck (especially Sea Change). Granted I haven't seen many Beck AMV's, but that doesn't necesarilly mean that nobody on the org likes him.

I've been wanting to do a video to Guess I'm Doing Fine for a while now.

At first I thought this was about the anime Beck, but I agree, there needs to be more videos using Beck's music. I think I should do an Already Dead video :acdc3:

I agree with Atom, there probably are a lot of Beck fans out there, but they just haven't made any videos using his songs for whatever reason.. You might also want to try sharing your ideas in the AMV Suggestions forum.

Oh, and Beck the anime certainly rocks.

Actually, I started editing Giant Robo to Lonesome Tears. I doubt it will ever be done, and even so, I might not release it.
(And yes, this thread is about the musical artist beck, not the anime 'BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad'.)
More Loser videos would be nice, and either E-Pro or Broken Drum (From Guero) would make for a nice video.

eh? That was my oppinion. Me saying that beck sucks is me expressing my oppinion of beck. I never stated it as a defenite fact.

Its a shame they're arent many beck videos but its understandable to me. Beck doesn't fit with anime. To quote Wonka, Beck is a story teller. None of the emotions in his songs are expressed in extremes. Anime is a world of extremes so it doesn't really mesh well.

That said I would love to do a weird a-typical video with "Missing" or "Emergency Exit". Those songs are first rate and deserve a proper AMV treatment. Anything to bring Beck to the general AMV public.
