Looking for anime to fit a song

Ok, one of my favorites right now is a very intense song by Pain of Salvation called "Nihil Morari." The theme is the self-destruction of mankind through overpopulation, raping the environment, short-sightedness, war, etc. I'm looking for anime that has similar themes, or at least has cuts that could be used with said theme.

Anime I'm considering include Tanuki Wars Pom Poko, Princess Mononoke, Wings of Honneamise, Barefoot Gen, Grave of the Fireflies. Any other suggestions?

The lyrics could be a nice fit with Arjuna.
